Su is an experienced HR professional with a career spanning twenty-five years in both the public and private sectors. Prior to leaving the APS in 2013, Su was the Group Manager (SES Band 2) Head of Corporate for the Fair Work Ombudsman. Su holds a Bachelor of Arts (Hons Psychology) and a graduate Diploma in Human Resource Management.
Su won the Australian Human Resources Institute HR Leader of the year award in November 2011, recognising her extensive and practical HR leadership. Su provides strategic human resource advice in a business focused manner. She excels at providing tailored solutions across all areas of the HR function. Su has particular interest in enhancing leadership capability, diversity and maximising flexibility in organisations.
Having worked in both public and private sectors, Su has a breadth of experience that she brings to bear on the challenges facing organisations today. She has facilitated strategic planning sessions with Agency heads in attendance, and also provides strong content input into business planning for corporate services, notably human resources. Su recently completed a project to develop a capability framework for the National Water Commission, and is able to quickly analyse the operating environment and capability needs of an organisation or group.
