Consolidation Session Canberra- China

This seminar seeks to enable participants to reflect on their experience in Shanghai and their key learnings as Australian leaders. The seminar helps participants to make deeper sense of their first hand experiences and to build a working model of global leadership for themselves, before concluding with a celebratory lunch.

Professor Nicholas Brown

Nicholas PhD is in Australian History from the ANU, where he also worked as a research fellow in the Urban Research Program. After a period in the Australian Public Service and as Professor of Australian History, University College Dublin (2002-4), Nicholas returned to the ANU to join the Australian Dictionary of Biography and, in 2007, commenced a split appointment to the Centre for Historical Research at the National Museum of Australia.

Post-doctoral fellow, ANU

Ryan is a political scientist working on China's domestic and foreign policy. He was formerly a political risk analyst, a management consultant with the Boston Consulting Group and a senior China analyst with the Australian government. Ryan was educated at the University of South Australia, the Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile, Peking University and Oxford University, where he was a Rhodes Scholar.
